For our 2022 annual Young Designer Competition we’ve received a whopping amount of 1310 entries from clever young designers all over South Africa.
We’re thrilled to introduce this winning pattern, designed by Lunathi Mfanta named ‘Camagu’. 🙂 ‘Camagu’ is a Xhosa term which means “let it be so” and “thank you”.
Lunathi Mfanta is a 21 year old student inspired by a love for design, African fractals and culture. He attempts to bend straight lines and to straighten curved lines – all in pursuit of creating something new from existing ideas. His body of work is rich in culture and pays homage to his spirituality, his ancestors, and the positive energies within his circle.
